The Margery L. Orr Scholarship Fund administers three separate college scholarships for financially needy LDHS graduates. All have the same application and eligibility requirements and each awards the same cash grant, currently $1,000 per year:
- LDHS Alumni Scholarship (sponsored by all alumni)
- LHS Class of 1960 Scholarship (sponsored by the class of 1960)
- Margery L Orr Memorial Scholarship (sponsored by the Orr family)
The Class of 1960 and Margery L. Orr Scholarships are 4-year awards; the Alumni Scholarship is a 1-year award. Since its inception in 1998, the scholarship fund has awarded more than $80,000 in aid to academically talented, financially needy students. We want to continue this record of giving back to our community, but we need your help – without financial support, that won’t be possible. Any amount will help. Even small contributions add up. Help a struggling student realize their dream of a college education!

The Margery L Orr Memorial Scholarship Fund is a recognized 503(c)(3) private foundation (IRS Code PF). Contributions to such organizations are tax-deductible for Federal income tax purposes.
