The Margery L. Orr Memorial Scholarship is intended to help academically talented, financially needy graduates of Lead-Deadwood High School obtain an education at a four-year college. Each year, the scholarship fund awards one or more 1-year $1,000 scholarships. Applications may be obtained from counselors at LDHS.
The scholarship was established by Margery Orr’s children in her memory and in honor of the virtues of hard work, thrift, and strong belief in the power of education that she espoused and exemplified over her long life. [About Margery L Orr] |
